You know what I really want right now? Ice cream! And no, I don't mean some gluten-free, dairy-free, sugar-free healthy fun-free alternative, I mean the real thing.
Ooh soft serve in a cone ... the only thing missing in this image is the Flake (no, that's not me in the image, the cone and the ice cream would make my stomach explode all over the place).
Sometimes I really miss normal person food.
Actually, I even miss eating gluten-free convenience food. Like gluten-free pasta, sausages, gravies, sauces, biscuits and other yums.
And all those new fangled delicious raw food noms, like raw cheesecake <drool>. Seriously, why can't I eat them? #stampsfoot
I'm sure it reads like I'm some kind of health-obsessed saint, who hangs out on a Saturday evening delighting their friends with stories about their amazing salad and how much more yum it is than the churros they're munching on. And "oh my goodness, that sliced carrot totally filled me up" #yeahnah I'm not even a fan of veges to be honest (although I do eat them).
But seriously, if I could get away with it, I'd be eating all the noms. Like, ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL of the noms.
So I guess what I'm saying is that it's not always easy to eat well. And us food allergy-folk absolutely do miss normal person food. But we're trying to stay healthy, so no thanks for the churros, but can I have a sniff so I know what they smell like at least?
Every day you have a choice with food - to improve your health or to eat the noms. If you're trying to eat well to improve your health - big ups to you.
