A few of my favourite things …

One of my favourite bloggers

My Darling Lemon Thyme

does a regular post on her blog called ‘A few of my favourite things’ and I LOVE it. It’s full of interesting things that aren’t necessarily food related but are always a look into her life and what she likes to listen to, watch, eat, and do.

So this month I decided to start my own ‘Few of my favourite things’ which I hope to repeat again soon. Just a note: I have not been compensated for or even asked to promote these things, they’re just things I love. And if I don’t like it, I won’t promote it. If I ever do accept money to promote goodies, you’ll know because I’ll tell you about it. I’m trying to be as ethical as possible you see …

Anyways, onwards …

Someone who’s work I’ve admired for years is

Dr Bill Reeder

. He’s an integrative doctor based in Hamilton. I’ve been his patient for a couple of years now and made huge progress with my health. Dr Bill even does intravenous vitamin c for those of you who need a boost – especially good if you can’t fight off germies or need support with cancer treatment. Read his blog

I am constantly raving about this bread, but in case you’ve missed any of my raves, here’s my favourite bread of all time:

Young Buck bread. I get it delivered to my door, and each month if you’re signed up to the newsletter you get a free loaf of their bread of the month and free delivery when you spend over $26. Young Buck is paleo friendly, grain-free, gluten-free, dairy-free and yum. I love it toasted and cut into soldiers with boiled eggs. Yum!

If you’re like me, you’ve already had a bout of germies this Winter. Something I take regularly to fight of the germs is this

Micron-Particle Liposomal vitamin C

. It’s gentle on the stomach, high potency and more easily absorbed than other alternatives.

This week I’m listening to the new Florence and the Machines album: How big how blue how beautiful. It’s a beauty.

Holy crap, I don’t know if you saw it on Facebook but …

is now open in Hamilton East. Cappy and I went there for diner on Friday night. Lots of gluten-free and dairy-free options, sustainable grass-fed beef in use and epic tastiness. So great to see more real food making it’s way onto the Hamilton scene.
